Religious Education
At the Nightingale Federation, academies follow the Norfolk Agreed Syllabus, which is a multi-disciplinary syllabus that is designed to provide pupils the learning opportunities they need to hold balanced and well-informed conversations on religion and worldviews. In each year group, although there is a focus on Christianity, the children experience a range of different religions and worldviews through their time at school; exploring these through the lenses of theology, philosophy and social human sciences.
Learning journeys focus on big questions which provide the opportunity for reflection, discussion and learning through a wide variety of outputs including role play, debate, presentations as well as written accounts. Children will be provided with exciting and positive learning environments, in which they have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of religions while contributing to their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
